How To Apply For China

There are some following explanations for each section.

Complete Application Form Online                                                                               

The first step is you’ll fill in the application form online. Please complete the following information:

A. Personal Details   Please make sure the personal information you fill in the form is correct and true. Whenever needed to put in your email, please be sure that you filled the information current and effective one for the universities will email the scanned copy of your acceptance letter and JW202 forms to the address.

B. Education   You are needed to gather the information for all completed and incomplete secondary, graduate, undergraduate or postgraduate training and qualifications. Please click the button of “add new school “to complete it.

C. Language Proficiency   If you have to complete the languages courses, you may be asked to supply the language expertise especially Chinese and English language tests. If you have passed any language test then you must attach or upload a copy of the results in your application documents. Some Chinese educate degree programs may need HSK Level 3-6, while some English educate programs may need IETLS or TOFEL Results if you are neither an English medium student in your previous school nor local English speaker.

D. Employment   Please click a button “add new employment record” to clarify your current post and your work experience (If any). 

E. Proposed Study in China:   Not all the programs need you to fill the application form in this item. If needed, you must clarify your proposed period of specialized study in China and also state, whether you must need a pre-degree course to learn Chinese if your future course is teach in Chinese and then fill in other information according to the guidelines. 

F. Financial Guarantee Please clarify the source of financial support for your study or living in China.

G. Family Members' Information:  You will be asked to provide the complete information about your family members. Please remember the required general information will only be used by your Chinese future university for your application. 

H. The Emergency Guarantor:  They will be in charge of your case in China if the institute cannot contact with you in some very urgent condition. Many universities do not mark this term as needed then you can leave it blank. When you are applying the university for admission and they must require an emergency guarantor. You may list your parent or relatives as your guarantor.

I. Declaration Make sure that you fill the correct posting information here. Your original admission offer letter and JW202 will be posted to the address here. Both documents are most important for applying a student’s visa to study in China.

Upload Required Documents                                                                         

When you are applying for the admission Chinese University, you have uploaded photocopies of all required necessary documents. 

How to prepare the photocopies

A. You create an image on your computer and you use a scanner to scan your all necessary documents.

B. You may use a DSLR camera or mobile phone camera you just make sure to make the photos clear and legible

C. Remember one thing, each file exceeding 8 MB cannot be uploaded and all the materials should be Adobe PDF, (.pdf) documents, image files (.gif, .jpg), MS-Word (.doc) or compression files (.rar, .zip).

How to upload documents?

A. First, you just click ‘SELECT FILES’ in the column of 'File Uploads’.

B. Second, you choose the necessary documents from your computer.

C. last you click OK button to upload. 

The uploading time may change from a few seconds to one minute according to your local internet connection speed. When your all documents are uploading, please DO NOT make any changes or leave the current section.

What photocopies of the documents to upload?

You may be needed to upload the following documents:

·         Photocopy of current passport 

·         Degree/diploma of highest education 

·         Academic transcript of highest education 

·         Written letter of guarantee 

·         Medical certificate 

·         Photocopy of certification of no criminal record 

·         Original certificate of Results of IETLS or TOEFL

·         Colored current passport photo 

·         Photocopy of valid residence permit 

·         Photocopy of personal ID card 

·         Written prove of financial support statement 

·         Others

You may be asked to upload more documents information depending on each university’s detailed requirements. 

Pay Fees or Send to University                                                                   
This section permits you to make payment and submit your application form to the university. Please pay the application fee and Study in China Admission System (SICAS) processing fee in order to submit your application form.

Pay Fees

An application fee is a process change by all the Chinese universities that you apply to. The application processing fee of a Chinese university is typically between 60-200 USD depending on university and types of courses. It’s based on the agreements between SICAS & China’s universities; SICAS does the collection of application fees for all Chinese universities. 

An SICAS processing fee is charged for the operation and maintenance of SICAS. Almost 50 U.S dollars is required, which covers your application to seven courses. SICAS offered six types of payment methods for you.

Send documents to university

 when you submit your application online, you just access My SICAS, My Applications by logging in SICAS, click 'Not Yet' in the column of 'Send to University or Not'. You will see a big 'Send to University”. Click the button and your application will be sent directly online to the university.

·         Once you have sent your application form, please you must wait for 1 to 3 weeks for the admission office of the university to check the application information and process your application. 

·         Once the institute has allowed any kind improving of your admission status, SICAS will inform you to” Track Admission Status” in your “MY SICAS Account”. And also confirmation admission status through a confirmation email to your registered email address.

·         The confirmation email will approach you to” Track Admission Status” in your “MY SICAS Account” for details. Please, you make sure to fill your valid email when registering and please also verify it when you log in to “MY SICAS Account”. 

·         Once you are accepted confirmation email by the university, the admission office will upload your original admission letter and JW202 form. In all process takes 5-16working days to reach you. Both of the two documents are most important for applying a student’s visa to study in China.

Track Admission Status                                                                                      
How to go to “Track Admission Status”?
When you have completed the first three steps then this part of Track Admission Status can only be accessible for you. Once you have finished all the black sections, you can click the button “Track Admission Status” in ”My SICAS Account” on the homepage of SICAS to check your application status every time. 

What does my admission status mean?

Normally, it only takes 1-3weeks to receive your Admission Letter or to know if you are refused by the university. There are following five general statuses that will be informed by the admission office of the universities when they make a decision on your application, such as processing, accepted, pending, refused and posting:


The institute is processing your admission application form and will notify you in no time. 


Once it is ready the university has accepted your Admission letter and will upload, if you accept it then you must check in due time and reply to the university, then the university will upload your JW 202 form, vice versa. 


The institute has checked your application necessary documents, but they require to be revised according to the university’s request. 


If university refused your application then will send a message like sorry, the university can't accept your application.


The institute has to send your original Admission Letter and JW202 by courier to you.

When you complete your admission application form, upload all the necessary application materials and make payment as well, the 'Track Admission Status' can be open for you. You just login your SICAS account and click a button 'Track Admission Status' to check your admission status.
